Sick of dried up, flavourless turkey putting you into a coma every year? This recipe is not only a showstopper but most definitely the best dish you and your loved-ones have ever had. Thaw your turkey, add on a stick of melted butter, a pound of bacon, lots of dried rosemary and stick in the oven - a thanksgiving to remember! * Buy an unstuffed turkey to make it gluten-free and shorten cook time *

Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 350℉.

  2. 2

Place thawed turkey into a roasting pan and pat the exterior dry with a paper towel.

  3. 3

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.

  4. 4

Brush butter over turkey (get into the nooks and crannies).

  5. 5

Sprinkle the entire turkey with salt and half the rosemary.

  6. 6

Basket-weave bacon over the entire turkey. Be sure to wrap the wings as well.

  7. 7

Crush and sprinkle the rest of dried rosemary over the bacon.

  8. 8

Tent the turkey in the roasting pan with aluminum foil and place in the oven for about 3 hours. Remove foil and cook another hour or so, until the thigh is cooked to 180℉ and the breast is cooked to 170℉.

  9. 9

Once cooked thoroughly, remove from heat and let rest for 15-30 minutes.
